Team Director

Dean Brooking

With 30 years operational and management experience, Dean always strives for continuous improvement and to explore, share & learn new ways that will drive the team to success.

Team focused with a driven ambition of delivering results, Dean’s team will push the boundaries of expectations above and beyond.

Dean has been involved in motorsport for over 20 years, racing in various categories and is now focused on team growth and success into the future of National Australian Motorsport.

Team Manager

Gavin Newman

Gavin’s 20+ years of involvement in motorsport includes being a Motorsport Australia accredited official, club level racer, club administrator and driver of the team’s Circuit Excel car.

With a background in IT Management Gavin’s organisational skills will assist the team both at the track and with preparation and administration between events. Responsible for Circuit Promotions, Gavin will promote the team and partners through regular social media updates and other event promotions.

Hospitality Manager

Kirsten Engelhardt

Kirsten has been apart of JKD since its conception. Her approachable nature and problem-solving skills make her an integral part of the JKD Racing team. She thrives in fast-paced environments and is always ready to adapt to the dynamic world of motorsports. As JKD Racing's Team Manager, Kirsten embodies the commitment to excellence and teamwork that defines our organization. Her expertise and passion contribute significantly to our pursuit of victory on and off the track.

Driver Manager

Stephen White

As the newest member of the JKD Racing Team, Stephen brings a wealth of knowledge the team needs to start progressing up the grid.

With a vast racing career, which was kicked off as a Holden Young Lion, driving alongside Greg Murphy and Peter Brock. Stephen went to Europe and was always a championship contender in every category he competed in.

Now back living in Australia, Stephen works hard within the motorsport industry, including work at a DSO for various categories.

We're proud to have Stephen on board with JKD Racing, to help develop our driver's into podium chasers.

No.1 Mechanic

Craig Oysten

With a practical background and wealth of mechanical knowledge, Craig's "nothing is hard" approach ensures we are always back on track every event.

He's always got a smile happy to help teams around us if he has spare time.

A WA resident, but no matter where we are racing he is there supporting our drivers with quick turn around of our race vehicles.

Apprentice Mechanic

Seth Rees

Seth joined the team early in 2025 and has proved to be great asset at events and loves learning and understanding all aspects to racing and vehicles.

Seth when not at events can be found playing Baseball in Wangaratta or working on anyone of his many cars.
